Norwell EDGE was founded on a simple but powerful belief - that technical training in the oil and gas sector should be available to everyone, not just a privileged few. From day one, Korero supported this mission as their outsourced marketing and PR team.

The Challenge

Norwell needed a bold brand campaign to reach both individual professionals and large energy companies, particularly in Nigeria, East Africa and Europe. The goal was to build a global reputation and attract both users and industry partners.

Our Approach

Korero worked as an extension of the Norwell team shaping its communications, brand, and marketing strategy. We created and managed an integrated programme covering:
- Website content and development
- Social media and email campaigns (organic and paid)
- Blogs, video content and Google Ads
- Media relations with key sector publications
- Thought-leadership, technical features and paid advertising

A core part of the strategy was building a loyal community, starting with those who helped beta test the platform, and turning them into long-term advocates.

The Results

- Over 5,000 individual users joined the platform
- Major contracts were secured with global oil and gas companies
- Key partnerships formed with schools and universities across Nigeria, East Africa, the UK and USA
- Virtual EDGE launched - an immersive training game using animation, quizzes, and bite-sized learning
- Collaborations included the University of Dar es Salaam, the University of Houston SPE chapter, and the Association for Black and Ethnic Minority Engineers (AFBE)

Norwell also became a trusted voice in the sector and recognised for innovation in digital learning and its commitment to making training more inclusive and accessible across the industry.
