Ocura Healthcare Furniture, formerly known as Beaver Healthcare Furniture, is a trusted, family-run business in Aberdeenshire. It had built a solid reputation by supplying high-quality furniture to some of Britain’s top healthcare providers.
But the market was changing.

The Challenge

Due to shifts in NHS procurement and a rise in competition, Beaver Healthcare had started to feel the pressure. Sales were dipping, and the team realised their current brand wasn’t keeping up with the company’s ambitions for digital marketing and future growth.
That’s when Korero was brought in to lead a full brand transformation.

Our Approach

We knew this rebrand needed to be bold. The company had to change how it was seen by existing clients while also appealing to a new group of customers. We worked closely with the team, guiding them through each step of the journey.

Step 1: A new name and identity
We began with internal workshops to uncover the business’s values and long-term goals. From this, the name "Ocura" was born. This fresh identity better reflected the company’s vision. We also redesigned the logo and created a practical brand and messaging toolkit that could be implemented by colleagues across the business.

Step 2: Engaging stakeholders
To ensure the name change didn’t surprise or confuse anyone, we launched a campaign to communicate clearly with customers, partners, and staff.

Step 3: A brand-new website
We built and launched a modern, responsive, and user-friendly website, timed perfectly with the brand's go-live date.

Step 4: Marketing materials
We developed a full suite of new materials, including a product catalogue, a five-day delivery brochure, fliers, and digital graphics.

We also rolled out:
• Social media: We set up new LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook pages, shared engaging content, and posted regularly for maximum visibility.
• Direct marketing: We designed and sent impactful email and print mailers to carefully selected audiences.
• Media coverage: Our team wrote and placed product launch stories and thought-leadership articles in key healthcare and business publications.
• Internal communications: We ran staff briefings, launched a countdown to go-live, and organised a special team day to celebrate. We also introduced a monthly staff newsletter to keep everyone in the loop.
• Sales support: To help the team hit the ground running, we created branded materials, sales presentations, and helpful talking points for client conversations.

The Results

The rebrand marked a turning point for the business.

Ocura went on to enjoy its most successful year ever, with sales up by 30%. The growth came from both existing clients and brand-new NHS Trusts.

Website traffic soared by 230%, enquiries through the new live chat and email channels increased, and the company built a healthy pipeline of leads that led to even more sales.

To top it off, Korero’s work was recognised with the Northern Star Business Award for Best Campaign, celebrating the impact of the Ocura rebrand.
